Our Lady of Fatima Celebration

We will have our annual celebration of the Blessed Mother's final appearance at Fatima in 1917 on Saturday, October 12, the eve of the day of her apparition. We will begin with a special Mass at 6:30 p.m., celebrated and preached by Father Manuel Ferreira, a retired priest of the Diocese of Fall River and former administrator of Holy Ghost Parish. After the Mass we will have a candlelight procession with the statue of Our Lady of Fatima around the neighborhood as we pray the Rosary. You may bring our own candles or obtain them at church. After the procession we will have Benediction in church and then refreshments will be served downstairs. Please come and invite your friends.

The Path to Sainthood

“A World at Prayer is a World at Peace”, Father Patrick Peyton

On Friday, October 4, 2013, Father David Marcham will celebrate the 9 a.m. Mass at St. Vincent de Paul Parish. At 9:30 a.m. he will speak about the life and ministry of Father Patrick Peyton and his ongoing cause of canonization.

Father Peyton, who died in 1992, is buried in North Easton, and currently has the title “Servant of God,” which is the first step in the process of becoming a saint. Father Peyton is known throughout the world for his famous quotes: “The Family That Prays together Stays Together” and “A World at Prayer is a World at Peace”.

Father Marcham is the Vice Postulator for the Cause of Servant of God Father Patrick Peyton, CSC. He coordinates the Father Peyton Guild who prays for Father Peyton’s canonization and the spread of his message
