OUR MISSION: We, the Catholic community of Saint Vincent de Paul Parish, are a family made up of many nationalities and ethnic backgrounds called together as one body by the Holy Spirit to experience and to share the saving effects of God’s grace in our lives. As disciples of Christ and following our patron, Saint Vincent de Paul, we profess our faith openly and proudly; promote social justice in our community; and bring the compassion of Jesus to all our brothers and sisters in need.

3 WAYS OF DONATING ON #GIVINGTUESDAY:
- #IGiveCCA - Donate to Catholic Charities!
Catholic Charities supports the many charitable ministries and programs sponsored by the Fall River Diocese. Throughout the year these programs touch the lives of tens of thousands of persons, some young, others old; some sick in body, other in spirit; some broken, others confused with nowhere to turn. Without regard to race, creed, nationality, gender, or economic status, the many ministries supported by this annual fundraising effort reach out to those in need, motivated by God's call to love one another. To donate please click here.
- #IGiveFACE - Donate to the Foundation to Advance Catholic Education!
The goal of FACE is to ensure that no child is denied the opportunity of attending one of the Diocese's Catholic Schools due to financial hardship. FACE provides need-based scholarships to the children of the Diocese. To donate please click here.
- #IGiveSVdP - Donate to St. Vincent de Paul Parish!
We always appreciate when our parishioners make a donation to our parish, and we thank you for your generosity and support! To donate please contact the parish office.

The people of Haiti are in a desperate situation due to the devastation caused by Hurricane Matthew.
In response, the Diocese of Fall River has asked each parish take up a collection at Mass this weekend to help our Haitian brothers and sisters.
Please give as generously as possibly in the
second collection.
May God bless and reward your generosity!

A DAILY REFLECTION
Gracious God,
Thank you for the gift of today.
Refresh me. Invite me to discover your presence
In each person that I meet
And every event that I encounter.
Thank you for the gift of today.
Refresh me. Invite me to discover your presence
In each person that I meet
And every event that I encounter.
Teach me when to speak and when to listen
When to ponder and when to share.
In moments of challenge and decision
Attune my heart to the whisperings of your Wisdom.
As I undertake ordinary and unnoticed tasks,
Gift me with simple joy.
When to ponder and when to share.
In moments of challenge and decision
Attune my heart to the whisperings of your Wisdom.
As I undertake ordinary and unnoticed tasks,
Gift me with simple joy.
When my day goes well, may I rejoice.
When it grows difficult, surprise me with new possibilities.
When life is overwhelming, call me to Sabbath moments
To restore your Peace and Harmony.
May my living today reveal your Goodness.
When it grows difficult, surprise me with new possibilities.
When life is overwhelming, call me to Sabbath moments
To restore your Peace and Harmony.
May my living today reveal your Goodness.
Amen.

He gives strength to the weary and increases the power
of the weak. Even youths grow tired and weary, and
young men stumble and fall; but those who hope in the
Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like
Eagles; they will run and not grow weary , they will walk
and not be faint.”
Isaiah 40: 29 – 31
May you soar today!

Healing the Hidden Wound
Friday, January 22, 2016
St. Vincent de Paul Parish, 71 Linden St, Attleboro
Created in the spirit of the New Evangelization and in this Year of Mercy, this prayer service is a healing opportunity for the entire local community to which everyone is invited. The hidden wounds of abortion affect each of us, not just those directly involved in the act of abortion itself. Many of our co-workers, neighbors, friends, and fellow parishioners suffer silently. As a community we have all been touched and we all have the opportunity to engage in the healing process.
- 6:00 PM – Volunteers read testimonies written by survivors
- 7:00 PM - Eucharistic Adoration and Sacrament of Reconciliation
- 8:00 PM – Holy Sacrifice of the Mass
This evening of intercession was developed by Theresa Bonopartis & The Sisters of Life and is sponsored by the Respect Life Ministry of St. Vincent de Paul and St. John the Evangelist Parishes. For more information, please email; AttleboroRespectLife@gmail.com
