Prayer is the cornerstone of our parish
Day of Evangelization (DOE) efforts. As we set out on the evangelization journey, we
are very blessed to be accompanied on every step by the DOE Prayer team.
This team,
whose point of contact is Delores Duquette, has set out upon a prayer campaign
which will humbly ask the Holy Spirit to allow our efforts to be fruitful. The following prayer will be said daily
until the Day of Evangelization.
The team’s
prayer petition is to ask the Father through the Son to send out His Spirit to empower
and to heal all and to bring back souls through door-to-door for Christ.
Team members have each committed to attend Mass, Eucharistic Adoration and offer a Rosary on one day each week for this petition. As a result, our parish DOE efforts are being supported in prayer every day. Also, the team join together in a common day of fasting and prayer every Wednesday and this will continue until the Day of Evangelization in August.
All
are most welcome to join the team as they storm Heaven for the blessings of the
Holy Spirit to pour out on this day. Their next meeting will be on Monday, 17 June 2013
at 6.45 PM in the Church.
